Selling my TD5 as it no longer works for my priorities. I've had a huge amount of work done over the last few years, and the vehicle is in great shape.
- Engine fully reconditioned at 132k miles
- New crankshaft, engine stripped, cylinder head skimmed & bores honed. New seals, gaskets, oil pump, turbocharger, coolant pump radiator and intercooler.
- New power steering pressure pipe. Brake pipes fully replaced.
- Replaced oil cooler.
- New wiper motor & assembly.
- Security features - Optimill security bonnet hinges, door plates, bonnet cable guard.
- New steering box @ 136k miles. - Moto Lita removable steering wheel with optimill swivel lock.
- New wing mirrors, headlight surrounds and heritage grille.
- Car fitted with rear/ front cameras that serve as dash cams & reversing camera, parking sensors, WIPAC lights, a roof rack and spare wheel carrier.
- The chassis is sealed with waxoil (done by the previous owner).
- Prev. owner also fitted heavy duty half shafts & exmoor trim seats.
- The car has a Clifford concept Thatcham 1 alarm with proximity sensors.
- Rear of the car is insulated with noise dampening rubber matting.
Next MOT is due in September. Medium wheel-base, Caledonian Blue, 4 previous owners
The work that does need doing on this vehicle, is some rust repair on various parts of the body. Most of which is surface rust, for instance on the bulkhead, which isnt rusted out.
Additionally on the last MOT it was found that the front wheel assemblies need some new bearings. This is a great defender as it comes with a lot of upgrades which make it a lot more drivable, such as the rear view mirror/ dashcam, a slick shifter and parking sensors.
The moto lita wheel makes driving a pleasure and is removable for added security.
It also has lights hooked up and comes with a roof rack and BFG tyres.
It'd be perfect to convert for camping or to be cleaned up and restored even further.
