These are non restored cars -that means that back in the day were kept as just 'normal honest unmolested cars' and the climate has just preserved them in close to new condition, never been tarted up or anything added on , serviced by the opel dealer of the village.
They have 'lived a life' and are not Concours condtion - nor are they priced as such . I have tried to use them as much as possible over the years.
Red 2 door 1. 4i Sport was located in a quaint Provence village surrounded by fields of blue lavender as cliché as you like .
Silver TR 1. 3GLS was nestled in Cognac vineyards not far from the Hennessy distillers . These places are probably up there with the California climate for car preservation and the people well off enough in the 1990s not to scrimp on servicing.
The 1. 4i ohc sport has just enough performance to be abit of a sleeper on twisty back roads- a turbo conversion or ITB conversion did cross my mind. The saloon has a totally different 'feeling' to the hatchback models and is more cruiser but will bob along just nicely with also decent poke when requested . (Basically it's a 1. 3SR)
Rocking a saloon model back 20 yrs ago was never cool... but on days out to cruise the beach front at La Rochelle -The 'more door' certainly suits family use. Only missing the cali style wooden roof rack to be Wörthersee road trip ready..
Both are a complete blast to drive !
This sale is probably aimed more at somebody who wants to pay slightly more than the usual scrapper for OEM purity -The months and indeed costs of welding to line up spurious body panels / cuts from various other cars etc also has a cost..
For the last 30 years these cars have been bone dry from the Inside of the chassis box sections out, There is alot of piece of mind in knowing that with basic care - they will stay that way for another 30 years !

* Corsa Sport 1. 4i 2 door RED - 1st registered 30/ 12/ 1992 Original 1. 4i Sport, I have a photo of the factory 'sport' door stickers , standard apart from Lowered springs. (oem springs supplied). very quick + agile even today . pulls straight up to a raspy rev limiter. great fun, economical Could be a daily driver no problem, The original Bi-tone 14'' Steel wheels look great in my opinon and let it handle as it was supposed to on 4x new Kumho tyres
Rust free car -all original spot welds are still apparent on the wheel arches and inner wings under battery no holes , There is no under body schultz spray anywhere it is all OEM , All chassis parts have the faint GM 'OK' still stamped on them. The climate has done wonders for the conservation but not been so kind to the Red paint which is very faded notably on roof and bonnet.
* Corsa TR1. 3 GLS SILVER 1st registered 02/ 04/ 1987, basically a 1. 3 SR but longer. standard apart from Lowered springs
( Previous owner purchased 4 corsa B alloys from dealer in 1994 ) The original steel wheels and oem springs are supplied in the rather huge boot. Interior immaculate.
factory spot welds still apparent on inner wings and wheel arch lips & under battery . Luxe finition on door cards, 5 speed , elec windows. Rear window sun blinds , Paintwork excellent but needs a mop, All chassis parts have the faint GM 'OK' still stamped on them.
I have replaced Cam belts + Fan belts-fitted new brake hoses on both , They both run excellent and I am confident that they will drive any distance to their new home.
All relevant French paperwork is on hand. They should be relatively easy to re-register in most countries using a simple COC from Opel or a NOVA decleration to UK

Driving LHD has become a bit of a cult thing lately. if it's good enough for the E30 M3 / Delta hf integrale all these years ...
UK delivery is included but not on both - Happy to road trip across to UK with the buyer - Weather is beautiful right now !

The Nova Corsa A prices will probably only go one way from here - old SR sheds starting hit 8-10k on ebay that need half a chassis replaced, It depends what one want's at the end of the day.
Happy to reserve with deposit. There is no major rush to move them on. The summer is long yet !
