Offered For Sale is Doug, my 1999 Suzuki Wagon R Gen 2 UK car. Track day road car project.
Please read the advert fully.

Bought a few years ago as always wanted one of these but they rarely come up for sale and even rarer with the 16v engine. Drove it to an MOT to establish what it needed and have been collecting new and used parts since to convert it into a track car. These were always bought and owned by 'older mature' drivers so I wanted to build something a little different with this.

V5 present and in my name along with original owners book pack.

This is factory fitted with a 1. 2 16v engine and 5 speed box, really responsive with good acceleration in a light small car. This is the chain driven engine and remains strong without undue noises, knocks etc. Currently running standard exhaust system. Fuel system has been partially overhauled with the tank removed cleaned and refinished, a couple of pipes replaced for new (rectifying a leak identified on the MOT).

Bodywork is straight and without any large dents or damage. This is a non sunroof shell so would be good also for classic rally / time trials. Sills will need replacing on both sides as detailed within the MOT failure sheet. Rear arches will also need some fabrication work. With the exception of a small area on the inner floor inside the OSR door the main floor, boot floor and inner wings appear sound.

Interior is partially stripped with the intension of getting the car down to sub 600 kilos to make a lovely little sleeper track car.
Seats missing but runners in place (no seats are included as I had intended to fit lightweight race seats), dash remains complete including passenger airbag. Door cards and electrics including front window mechanism remain in place and fully working. Steering wheel has been swapped for an after market steering wheel boss and small OMP steering wheel (airbag light will need addressing but not an MOT failure if the car is evidently modified for road / track use. Carpets removed and internal plastic trim too but some trim and full roof lining remain in place.

Car comes with a good few hundred pounds with of new and used spares. Including but not limited too (as I may have missed a couple of bits). Some of these are fitted but most new boxed and ready to fit. Again, please study the photos.

New quality front disks and pads.
New rear shoes and spring kit (brake imbalance recorded on MOT test).
New rear shock.
New air fliter oil filter and exhaust gasket.
New 40mm lowerering springs front and back.

New battery cabling and isolator switch for battery relocation.
New 3" 5 point aircraft buckle race harnesses (pair in black).
New OMP race pedal set.
New bonnet pin kit and boot straps.
New rally mudflaps.
New F1 style mirrors.
New set of 4 Grayston 32mm wheel spacers and bolts.

Used set of 4 15" Mini One refurbished steel wheels C/ W 4 x Michelin 195 50 15 Pilot Sport 3's, very good tread remaining.
Used Mk2 Golf Safety Devices 6 point roll cage (requires modification and new mounts to fit the Suzuki Wagon R).
Used bumper sets x 2 including rare JDM front bumper in blue with vents).
Used radiator and hoses.
Used front slam panel.
Used NSF wing.
Used headlights pair.
Used passenger alloy foot plate.
Used filter box and associated pipework (originally from this car).

Working through the New and Used parts above, I've spent over £800+ on parts, not including the purchase of the car.

This has been started and moved regularly, has been dry stored since my purchase.

It's a project I'd love to continue with but I've a couple of other projects ahead of it which means I might not get around to starting it this year. Its small, its in the corner of my workshop so in no rush sell and not looking for low offers on it either as I'm still in two minds as to if I should be offering it for sale. It is a rare car on the UK roads with parts readily available from after market UK stockists.

Offered as a classified advert to encourage any interested parties to view the car prior to a sale being agreed, ensuring it meets your expectation. Will need collecting within 2 weeks of a sale being agreed.

I do have access to a trailer so may be able to assist with delivery for an agreeable charge, paid in advance along with the purchase of the car but this does depending on location so please ask first.

Again, please read fully before contacting with any questions or to view. It's a long description to ensure any interest shown after reading / looking is genuine.

Thanks for looking. Take car, keep safe.
