Here we have my very rare Japanese Import 1991 Yanase Mercedes W124 300E in very high spec with immaculate Blue interior and exterior.
Comes with electric seats, windows, sunroof.
Completely standard apart from an Upgraded Mercedes racing steering and stereo head unit.
Very low mileage for the year at 116k which is nothing for the 3 litre straight six bullet proof engine.
It will require a shock absorber and ball joint replacing for the MOT, and brake pads in the near future. Apart from this, the Merc is in fantastic condition as seen in the pictures.
It will also come with lots of service history. Viewings are welcome.
I am a member of the Mercedes Benz Club and have been for many years having owned over 10 classic Mercedes. This has been the cleanest W124 I have seen. Unlike similar classic cars this example has lived in Japan, in Japan they don't use salt on most roads, the climate is warm, and very, very dry, but not intense heat such as other hot countries, this creates the perfect environment for a car to live and as a result cars do not deteriorate or age there like normal vehicles would elsewhere.
JDM vehicles are also are subject to the Japanese Shaken, a strict government test to ensure cars on Japanese roads are kept to an extremely high standard, as cars get older this gets stricter, and as a result most cars are not kept longer than 6 or 7 years, so classic cars of this age still in Japan are rare indeed.
Japan is a very congested place, road tolls are high, and as a result many use Japans far advanced public transport systems on a daily basis, hence cars get far less use which results in very low mileage.
Finally, foreign cars like this that were imported into Japan were vastly expensive when new, and deemed special from day one, Japanese owners have a culture of keeping special cars such as this a long time, so many have been in very long term and enthusiastic ownership too.
