Ex German Army Vehicle (still has the rifle holders in the cab and original manoeuvres flags).

Sadly the time has come and "Nelly" is reluctantly for sale. I have owned her for approx 17 years, she is a great bus and has been my daily runner throughout the years I have owned her.
Originally a German Army bus and interior wise has retained some of the original features (original military paint on lots of panels, rifle holders in the front cab, manoeuvres flags.
Previous owner had her resprayed an olive green colour and I decided approx 5 years ago to have professional bodywork done and get her sprayed in stock 2 tone VW colours (Neptune Blue / White)
Mechanically she drives very well, starts first time and has been looked after.
Recent brake service, new handbrake cable, new clutch cable, new starter motor.
Structurally she is reasonably straight and the chasis is fairly good. As with most VW buses of this age for sale there are some areas that require work and I will highlight these as honestly as I can: (see images for details)
* Jacking point on chasis has rusted (L/ H Drivers side), there is a hole there and will need to be professionally welded.
* L/ H wheel arch has rusted. This will need to repaired/ replaced.
* Rust near the L/ H side seatbelt mount.
* There are areas of bubbling on the paint work around some of wheel arches and rear boot lid.
* Heat exchangers rusted / not connected.
* Air fans in the cab not working, electrics for these need looking at.
* R/ H passenger seat has a rip in the plastic.
She will make an excellent rolling restoration project and will not take too much work and TLC to get her looking fantastic again. Nelly would look awesome if she was converted back to her original "military" look.
Genuine reasons for selling, she has not been used much for camping in the last couple of years and it is time to get something more practical as a daily runner.
We've had so many adventures and memories in this bus (Nelly was our wedding car). It is a very hard decision to make, genuinely gutted to be leaving the VW club (I'm sure I'll be back one day) but for now it is time for someone to give Nelly the home she deserves.
