Original paint, marching numbers. It was registered in the UK but went to Jersey for some years. My father purchased the bike in December 1977 from Jersey with 16515 miles and re-registered it in the UK in May 1979. It has its original UK reg number. MOT May 79 shows 16531 miles, May 1980 19033 miles. December 1983 was sold to a family friend after my fathers death in 1981. He mothballed the bike after a trip around France at 22790 miles. I purchased the bike back in 2012. It had poor compression on one cylinder. The engine was stripped, new slingers, seals, re-bore and pistons in 2016. I’ve used it little since then, just run occasionally to circulate the oil.
1st kick starter and while it needs the seat recovering could be run in original condition. It has the slightly higher bars and Schorsch Meier seat making it a very comfortable riding position.
If I keep the bike it will be some years before I have time to give it the attention it needs so open to offers on £8000.
