Wanted good home for my Austin Healey 3000 Mk1 with overdrive now reluctantly for sale. Built February 1959. Chassis number BN4 – 0/ 77209. Original UK right hand drive car sold by Binding & Payne Ltd of Clevedon in Somerset to a local farmer with the original registration cherished mark number EWJ 11. Present registration number SSK 222. Original colour Colorado red with grey trim. Now off white with navy hood, tonneau, leather seats and trim.
I have owned this car for the past 22 years. I garaged the car in the south of France for over fifteen years where I used it regularly every spring and summer. I brought the it back back to England in November 2021 having sold our house in France.
The car was completely rebuilt from the ground up in the late 1990's to a 3000 Mk1 specification and underwent a comprehensive professional dismantlement, re-spray and re-refurbishment in 2018. There is a photographic record of all work done.
The car is in perfect condition bodily and mechanically and is a delight to drive, sounds wonderful, looks fabulous and is a real head turner.
The vehicle has an agreed Valuation Certificate and a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Production Trace Certificate.
The car comes with an original owners handbook, a workshop manual and various other memorabilia.
