Brilliant R53 Mini Cooper S

MOT 07/ 2024 (clean sheet!)
I bought this car in March 2022 following a sale of a Peugeot 205 GTI from a very nice chap who was very clued up on these cars. The body on this mini is excellent bar a couple of `carpark dinks`, the car has original trim and what appears to be a JCW aero front bumper.
Some stone chips on the lower front bonnet consistent with age.
The colour combination is brilliant and really captures the BMW mini vibe! Lovely standard black interior with what I believe is some added on chrome bevels, three spoke steering wheel on this car.
Usual Cooper S refinements, electric windows, heated windscreen, xenon lights with washers, rubber mini mats!
Although the car has JCW intercooler cover, door sill covers and some JCW badges I don't believe this to be a JCW car. The air box appears standard and the injectors are beige in colour, However it's a Supercharged Cooper S never less!
The car has had 5 previous owners however is very well looked after with a folder of receipts and invoices including original bill of sale from 2003 (£17000).
As you will see from MOT history the little car has done few miles in the last few years, I got it in March 2022 and ran it until about September when I broke my wrist and couldn't drive, At this point it was garaged over winter until about April. The MOT lapsed due to having too many vehicles needing money spent!!
Its worth noting that the car was kept garaged by previous owner also.
The car is fitted with what appears to be an aftermarket stainless exhaust and from the history possibly a high flow cat. The noise is not overly intrusive and really matches the cars character. The previous keeper, who was very well in the know of minis explained to me that it was as close to an original mini that you could get in a modern model. Id agree strongly.
still retains its alloy plate under exhaust and no issues with battery box!
I am not overly convinced about selling, my daughter likes the car however we have a baby also and any use that we use to get out of the car has diminished.
Being realistic the value in these cars is with low miles and id be tempted to use it more than I probably should!
If you keep your ear to the ground with regards to appreciating classics then you will know that these are on the up and a sure value holder.
Like other cars I've owned ill probably regret selling...
