In DEC 2022 had the following done to get it through an MOT:-
Front and Rear Brake Discs and Pads (Genuine Toyota)
Full Service using Genuine Toyota Parts, Plugs, Oil, Filter, Fuel Filter, Air Filter,
Also changed the 3 Auxiliary Belts (Gates)
Car was MOT'd then left at my mates garage since DEC.
The Car was off the road a number of years prior, but has a Good MOT History.
HPI Clear.
1 Key with remote fob.
Service Book with Stamps.
As you can see it suffers from the dreaded Red Laquer Peel as pictured.
Few Scuffs and scratches/ dents etc as expected with age.
Only bit of rust is on the rear tailgate around the wiper arm as pictured.
The Car does run and drive.
Underneath is pretty much solid (just surface rust) and has had no Welding in the past.
It is Completely Standard/ Stock with no mods.
Wheels would benefit for a Dimond Cut Refurb. Tyres are excellent.
No evidence of Timing Belt being changed, so I would consider the new owner getting that done too.
These Corolla E11's are starting to fall into the Rare Japanese Market Cars Bracket and with numbers limited, this is for sure a future classic.
I am only selling this one as I already have another one which is actually on the road. The reality is I don't need 2.
And its just sitting there wasting away.
A Good Project for someone who is after a Sought After Limited Edition Model.
On my last check there are way less than 100 on the UK Roads.
Any questions feel free to ask.
Can send plenty of pictures of the Car when it was on the Ramp.
Car is Located in Manchester.
Viewing by Appointment only.
PLEASE NO TIMEWASTERS...
I am sure I have probably missed out a few things but will add them once I remember.
Thanks For Reading.
TOYOTA PRESS RELEASE:
The year is 1998. Carlos Sainz is driving the Corolla WRC in the WRC championship and it looks like he has a shot to win it. Ultimately he didn’t, but it was close. Toyota decides that this near win has to be celebrated with a special edition of the E11. They made The G6R.
To make this car they took a Corolla G6 1. 6 and slapped on some extra goodies.
The differences between the normal G6 and G6R aren’t that big, but for the enthusiast, they’re enough.
Here’s what they did:
They decided the car would only be made in one of 2 colours: Satin Black and Sunburst Red
They replaced the Steel bonnet for an Aluminium one (weight reduction)
They put some Sideskirts on the car.
G6R Red seatbelts.
Colour Coded bumper Lip/ Splitter
The 14’ inch wheels were replaced by 15’ alloys with 195/ 55R15 tyres.
Springs that dropped the car 20mm
Disc-brakes all around (some E11 already had these as an option)
G6R Badges front Grille and Rear Bootlid
6-speed gearbox
Aircon
Electric windows
Electric Door Mirrors
Electric sunroof
4AFE Engine
Engine Strut Brace
Front Honeycomb Grille
Honeycomb Speedo Cluster
CD Changer Player under the Passenger Seat
The G6R was only distributed in a couple of countries. The Netherlands, Germany and the U. K. being some of them. In each of these countries about 200 were released. In the U. K. it was about 420.
