1972 Yamaha TX650, historic vehicle status, no tax or mot required.
I have owned for approximately 7 years bought privately in middlesex, it is in unrestored condition so photos flatter it somewhat. Mikuni VM 34 carb conversion fitted, much better than original solex cv carbs in my opinion. I have replaced camshaft chain and adjuster, also fitted Smedspeed oil filter conversion which replaces the notorious original oil strainer wich was prone to collapsing! This could easily be converted back to original if you are a stickler for originality. Everything works as it should including the electric starter but I tend to use the kickstart as it kicks over with no problems. Engine is nice and quiet, indicators horn, lights all working, new battery just fitted. I had intended to restore it but have never got round to it as have other bike demanding attention.
