VW Beetle genuine Karmann cabriolet RHD
Owned for 8 yrs and loved every single minute of it!!!! Never ever let us down and driven many miles many times with many smiles!
Its probably been the best car I have ever owned and I honestly never thought I would be letting it go! however nothing lasts for ever and I am looking for a different style of vehicle to represent my business.
Originally came from factory in red but when I bought it, it was already painted white. 4 yrs ago I decided to have it repainted white to give it a fresher look.
Structurally perfect with no welding required at all, heater channels work as does everything else. Always been serviced and maintained, not always MOT'd due to it legally not requiring it. Happy to discuss an MOT for the right price. Never had any major work as its always just been great and never needed anything!!! thinking about it I question again "am I doing the right thing selling it"?
Convertible roof is so easy to put up and down and is simply amazing to drive on a nice day with the top down. there is a small mark on the outer middle section however I have been caught in the rain many times and the roof works perfect to a point it feels like a hardtop! the original rood is so thick and well padded is amazing. The Beetle is and always has been parked in my unit and the previous owner who is a friend of mine also had it parked inside during their ownership.
This car has send some time in California in its early days and it even comes with its pink slip! The pink slip shows it was owned by a lady called Maureen breeze from Rondo Beach Ca in 1988.
Its got the original engine, being the 1302S model means it's the 1641cc which is plenty powerful enough on the modern roads, not sluggish at all.
Just recently had a service including:
oil change
valve clearance
timing check
check gearbox oil
helicoil rear drum replaced
adjusted rear brakes
improved tracking.
Modifications:
Empi quick shift gear. this was done before my ownership and its brilliant!!! really easy perfect gear change.
Slight lowering using springs around 25 mil (I do have the originals to go with the sale),
White wall tyres
Rear wheel spacer
Stainless steel side runners (I do have the original ones to go with the sale)
Comes with some previous maintenance work paperwork but none from its time in the states.
