Excellent example of a becoming ever rarer, and increasingly collectable, BMW R1100S Boxer Cup Replica in the early unique Boxer Cup ’Randy Mamola’ insignia Blue/ White colour scheme. Factory fitted ABS.
This is the very first of the ‘BCRs’ the original and rarest single spark version of which just 135 came to the UK. Later 2003 versions onwards, including subsequent Mamola liveried bikes, and the Red, White and Blue versions had the twin spark engine, and were normal production machines. These early bikes were built by BMW in limited numbers, 1000 produced in total for the worldwide markets, to celebrate the success of the BMW Boxer Cup race series’ that was spearheaded by 500GP star Randy Mamola, taking place in both Europe and the US during the early/ mid 2000s, and which were one make series’ based upon production R1100 S models with minimal modifications. Just 5, 750 miles, with documentation to support, including service bills/ invoices. Recently serviced and throttle bodies synchronised. As mentioned above, this is the first version of the Boxer Cup Replica with the single spark engine, a rare version of a rare bike in any form. Just 135 were allocated to BMW (GB) Ltd and these early bikes are acknowledged as being the most sought after and collectable of the breed. Original in every way, factory fitted Laser stainless exhaust system mated with a John Gemi stage 15 chip ( power increase of 10% plus improved fuel economy). Original chip supplied.
Standard Boxer Cup trick parts include gorgeous carbon fibre huggers, engine covers and full belly pan, single sided swingarm with wide offset rear wheel in blue, and complimenting matching blue front wheel, all adding to the overall style and prettiness of these machines. Original toolkit and puncture repair kit are present and complete, as are factory fitted BMW heated grips. A hugely individual, headturning motorcycle, with a wonderful exhaust note and engine braking like nothing else, they will always attract interest. Now few and far between, this bike offers a rare opportunity to buy one with low mileage, and in original condition. MOTd until Aug 2024. Rides superbly and always generates interest where ever she goes.
