Offered for sale is my very nice original Honda ST70.
The V5C shows the bike first UK registered in June 1980. It was previously registered overseas and is declared manufactured in 1978. An original German language sticker suggests Germany as the first country of registration.
There were 5 registered owners prior to me acquiring the bike in 2010. The previous owner had owned the bike since 1993.
The condition appears to be largely original and is nice and clean. There is the odd paint blemish, touch up and chip, but no obvious corrosion. It is consistent with its age but low mileage.
I had a thorough mechanical overhaul by a local classic Honda expert in 2016. This included an engine rebuild with new piston kit, carb kit, gasket set, plug, battery, filters etc and new rear shocks. The bike was also then given a fresh MOT. This was all at 17, 602kms. The bike has only covered 12 kms since (17, 614 kms = 10, 945 miles), so remains in its mechanically refreshed condition. It has been dry stored at home, started regularly and run around my driveway.
It is a nice thing to own and admire. Fun and very easy to use. Starts with no fuss, runs through the gears (clutch-less) and stops; all as it should.
There is an original ST70 Owners Manual, a Honda shop servicing manual and old MOTs from 1992 to 2016 which verify the low KMs. It has been SORN since 2016.
