I am looking to sell my Mk5 cortina. I have owned her for over 8 years now and I have not used her for over 3 years. I put her in for an mot that passed and not touched her since. I have started her up twice in that time. So let me tell you some more about her. She has been on the tv and was a star car in ashes to ashes. She was Alex drakes (Keeley Hawes) undercover police car in the final series I believe. But in my time of ownership she has changed some what. She still look cool and original as she stated life as a 1. 6L
But she is a bit different now.
At present she is running a 2. 3 L4 engining out of a ford galaxy that I had built. So she is nice and fresh. She is fuel injected and has a few other bits. I will these. As stated the engine. Type 9 5 speed box. Power steering. Electric fan. Proper carello spot lamps. She has gaz adjustable shocks all round. Lowered springs. She has electric front windows. Remote central locking on a fob. Electronic boot release. A rear disc conversion. She has the full ghia trim in bitter chocolate brown that compliments the cordoba beige exterior. She has a mk6 escort steering column with fiesta steering wheel and switch gear. And has a rev counter too. She has some period audoline speakers on the rear parcel shelf. I have every mot from new including the original bill os sale. And a folder full of recipes of bits that were done to her. Now she is not perfect and is over 40 years old so is now tax and mot exempt. So she is not perfect but in good condition. She needs a bit of love now but just a few things. The power steering pipe had split so needs a new one of those: and the exhaust is a mild steel one and a tad noisy as I get older it was just too noises. Was great when I had it done. It has some rare bits on her too. The granny splitter. And a super rare boot spoiler: so this is a great car that just needs a little fettling. I have come to realise that I am not gonna use this so it’s time to pass it on. Please remember it has sat in a garage for almost 4 years untouched: also has 15inch mini lights with Toyo proxy tyres.
