Mercedes W115, 230. 4 LHD, Automatic. During COVID the car was totally restored to a very high standard to include the following:
Engine overhaul including new valves (unleaded) and bearings;
New radiator, water pump, hoses;
Carburettor reconditioned; new fuel lines. Alternator and starter motor reconditioned.
New shocks, the car has a factory option of self-levelling suspension at the rear. It has modern electric power steering. New exhaust and tyres. New master cylinder; all brake callipers have been reconditioned. New brake hoses.
The body was completely stripped and any corrosion removed with new metal let in. New door seals, window channels and window scrapers. All chrome and badges are in excellent condition. New windscreen. I have numerous photos to show the restoration and a huge history file. The was repainted to a very high standard in it's original ivory colour.
The interior is original and in very good condition, except the headlining which is new. I bought the car from its original owner nearly 15 years ago and have used it extensively on long trips all over Europe. It's both comfortable and practical with plenty of room and is completely reliable. This model gave Mercedes their reputation for solidity and reliability. It will have a fresh technical inspection prior to sale and is eligible for historic registration which means it can be used in emission-controlled zones all over Europe.
