HI - Selling my Overdrive 1974 TR6 in Sapphire Blue - Historic so tax and MOT free but does come with MOT until Aug 2024 - I have owned this since approx 2018 - The car is Right hand drive and was imported back to the UK by the Northern TR centre way back in 1990 and converted to R/ H drive and locally owned since then - shows 3 previous owners . The car is in excellent condition having had a body off rebuild over the last couple of years and sprayed in Sapphire blue. There are pics of the body during the rebuild and the condition of the body underneath is better than when the car was new- fully painted in body colour and has had new floors sills and many other panels/ parts at significant expense - There is zero rust on this car (The car has only steel panels ). The chassis is solid and painted in Chassis black - the only way to properly sort one of these is to take the body off so you can refinish the chassis correctly. As this is a body off rebuild all systems have been rebuilt / refurbed ie suspension/ brakes wiring etc. The engine was in good running order before hand but was stripped down and showed excellent bores- new bearings mains / big ends thrust and all gaskets and seals and painted- the camshaft was replaced with a new one with new cam followers, Running on SU carbs with a brand new stainless exhaust it is easy to maintain- sits on four brand new tyres - all five wheels have been shotblasted and powdercoated and are excellent- The gearbox / diff are quiet and the J type overdrive works correctly -also has a new clutch- The car has good interior with excellent original seats and a new hood / new carpets new windscreen- The car isnt a concouse car and is not perfect but it is very good and 100% solid having been rebuilt. The car starts easily and has a new battery - as it has been rebuilt all fluids are recent. Viewing welcome - the car is located in North East England DH4Nice classic - this car will be the cleanest car underneath that you will find but it is nearly 50 years old and is not perfect - however is a very economical way into TR6 ownership with lots of fun driving and attracts a lot of attention on the road. A sold car backed up with an MOT.
