Now I told you what it is you know. So many people say, “ what is it? It’s lovely “ I’ve kept the badges off to keep em guessing . Apparently one of 10 left! I’ve never seen another. Old boy had it from new, gave to his son who did nothing to it, sadly put it in his name so it’s a 2 previous owner, 7600 milecar. MOT, TAX & ULEZ exempt !! Im a professional sprayer by trade, I’ve tidied it up, welded up all the holes that needed doing to a good standard and rust proofed. blown a few bits in just to make it look a nice survivor. It’s a 10 foot car. Looks great from a distance but scratched and knocked about a little on closer inspection, bottom of doors a bit rusty but just flat steel so easy repair if you want.. it’s far from mint, pic’s make it look cleaner than it is. Just a respectable, reliable, pretty quick old car. ( far more advanced than Escorts from the same era) You can use and abuse or strip and restore. Mega rare Jap!
Brandnew Minilight wheels and tyres ( original steels and caps inc) cherry bomb back box sounds great. Good interior, new Webber carb, serviced regularly.
I use this near daily for my 40mile work commute for the past 2years. Hot heater, 1600 manual goes really well. Starts from a flick of the key Handel’s really well. RWD. Tho used daily it’s nearly 50 years old and needs tinkering with if you want? Brakes are good but need looking at. Possible air, not had time to look still stops ok. Water coolent could be looked at too, leaks over night but not under pressure so just top up now and then. Doesn’t use any oil, such a strong engine.. original radio is great,
Basically a celica underneath running gear so mechanical parts are easy to source. She’s In daily use so mileage will increase . It’s aubergine not brown.
Regrettable sale but tooo many classics to feed.
