Lovely ZX7R P6 for sale, original UK bike with no crashes or issues. MOT expiry is June 2024. 13, 800 miles.
If you live in/ around London, this bike is ULEZ complaint so you won't have to give Sad I Q £12. 50 a day. I spent £175 to get it tested and it puts out . 07NOx and a pass is up to . 15NOx (so less than half). You'd be surprised how many bikes are compliant, even Harleys. Testers are rubbing their hands at £175 for a 15 min test. Anyway!
I purchased it in June 2013, so just over 10 years. The bike had 4 owners before myself and all seemed to keep it in the garage without ever riding. Previous MOTs available which show how little miles it did between each MOT. I did the same on a couple of the years whilst I was working on a long term bike project.
I serviced it when I got it with 7067 miles (service receipt) on the clock as well as changed to braided brake lines (original rubber ones included with the bike).
In 2015 I spent £1200 on it to clean the carbs given it had done so few miles, replaced tyres and all consumables etc. Receipt available. It's had further services since and I also service the bike with oil changes in between.
I have fitted stainless steel headers and the original (rusty) headers and very clean original exhaust will also go with the bike. The bike passes every MOT with the Yoshimura can.
Also included are Ventura pack bars you see attached in the photos. They are brilliant for touring or a weekend away. I have used this bike to travel to the Italian Alps and couple of trips to Wales as recent as this summer. You can tour on this no problem and I chose this over a Multistrada to go to Italy. The front end is brilliant when you get to the hills.
I will need to remove the wires you see in the cockpit which I use to charge my phone/ satnav. The rear stand is not included in the sale. It has a K&N filter which seems to work on this bike, junked it on my other bikes. Also included is the service manual which is very useful if you want to do your own maintenance. Lots of paperwork, service and owners manuals, 2 keys and the original tool kit.
The bike is original which is hard to find with ZX7Rs. Owners seem to want to bling them up with all sorts of coloured nuts and bolts. Each to their own but I chose the original route and kept it as is. It took me a while to find one with low miles and no modifications. I have taken very good care of it as I do with all my bikes, kept it garaged and under cover, and topped up with fuel and anti-ethanol additives each winter, as well as on a trickle charge. The faults include some paint flake on the rear wheel which I saw when I was taking the pics, and chips on the rear of the swing arm (see pic).
So why am I selling. I probably don't know myself and I do love this bike but life is too short and after 10 years I am moving onto another bike as I have a couple of others. I recall the first time I saw a P1 and at that time these bikes were being already raced in WSB and I wanted one. It wasn't until 2013 I finally bought one.
If you are a genuine buyer, I'd recommend a viewing but please don't waste my time (and yours). I'm in London W5 with relatively easy access from the A4 and A40.
