This was originally ordered from BMW dealer Harry Fairbairn in Irvine to an individual specification, but one option was ultimately missed by the dealer when placing the order, the automatic gearbox. Due to this, there is an automatic 550i SE in Messing metallic which is almost it’s twin, aside from this car having the 6 speed manual gearbox fitted, as the dealer ordered a second car to rectify the mistake.

Individual extended Merino leather in champagne. This included full leather across the seats, doorcards & dashboard, along with alcantara headlining & bamboo wood grain trim

I’ve done approximately 1500 miles since I purchased the car in Nov-22, and it is now for sale due to my project car being back on the road (an e34 M5). I had BMR Performance in Crawley go through the car to ensure that it clearly hadn’t been used much over the last few years, as you can see from the MOT history. BMR fixed a leaky rocker cover, and completed an Inspection II service, with additional work comprising of front track rods, suspension arms, 4 wheel alignment and lots of other small parts. They also checked the common N62 issues of valve stem seals and coolant pipe leaks, which were confirmed as good and not requiring any attention.
Bad points are the wheels being a little curbed, along with some marks around the car – nothing serious, but it is not perfect.
It is only now for sale as I have my M5 back on the road, and it deserves to be used more.
