For sale is my 550i Msport on 75200 miles with full service history. Comes with two plastic wallets full of invoices including the original sales invoice of the vehicle from Williams, Rochdale. Vehicle is believed to of been a demonstrator for a year before it was purchased on 16/ 7/ 08.
Its just been serviced on 15th January with the local bmw specialist and using thicker engine oil 10w40 i think for better engine wear and consumption. The paper work is well documented throughout its history including gearbox services and spark plugs. Major work including valve stem seals, rocker cover gasket, timing cover gaskets vacuum pump orings including gearbox service on 64595 miles. Its had a mixture of BMW main dealer and BMW specialist throughout its years with £££'s spent on it (looking through the paper work i was shocked but glad its been cared for)
Driving this car is an absolute dream its smooth and silky, the seats are like your in an arm chair even with the low profile tyres its smooth. The gearbox i had the parameters reset and now is nice clean smooth gear changes with the engine and even better on the sport mode. The engine is smooth responsive and a joy to have under your right foot, When you need it and in sports mode its no sleeper and your doing speed in no time.
Alloys are unmarked and tyres are very good with decent tyre depth left. It did fail the mot on the off side front tyre having a chunk missing out the side wall outside probably due to pot holes. I replaced the one tyre with the same continental winter contact. Didn’t replace both as the tread on the other front has loads on it
It does have a noise/ knock at slow speed Eg when parking on steering lock, you cant hear it when driving, It also does have a pully noise on tick over which i was going to be done later on in the year at the moment its not bothering me.
Bodywork is tidy for its age it does have some marks here and there so dont expect showroom condition. I can send pictures if needed.
This is being an Nov 06 demonstrator model means its probably one of the first LCI models show casing what the face lift model had to offer, And this car had nearly every option ticked from the factory and some rare features including night vision, DAB radio (individual audio system), lane departure, soft close doors, head up display & active seat backrest's. It also had fitted from new a rear view camera at a whopping £900 on the original bmw invoice. Ive added the full spec and features below. It also had the phone package added and later on upgraded to iphone holder in the armrest and there is an iphone (locked) in the holder which is included with sale. I have added Carplay screen to the car which still works with the idrive system. When switching back to idrive it hides some of the bmw software you can still see what your doing with the i drive still. I have been on contact with the supplier Droid UK and they have been sending soft where updated to try and solve the issue, I still have the original screen with the sale.
Ive updated the interior lights with LED which makes it much better at night and easier finding the car in a carpark.
I have been honest as i can with the description and listed as much as i can. I don't want sell the 550i but i dont use it as much and want it to go to some who will appreciate as well as me. Looking to go back to an F series..…* Editions and packages
