Description
The car was built in South Africa and was sold new into Rhodesia in the early 60’s and I have owned her for five and a half years. Time for the next project. Nicely presented 1961 Ponton, cream body, faun cloth interior. Crome in very good condition for her age. Mileage shows 37000 but can not be verified. Tyres replaced along with inter tubes and in good condition plenty on tread. Extensive engine over haul in recent years with the unmistakable clatter of 1950’s diesel technology. Radiator refurbished. Brakes overhauled. Fuel pump and diaphragm recalibrated last year, stainless steel exhaust, two sets of keys one original the other recut.
The car comes with a vast history and a detailed report of the engine refurbishment. This is one of only four or five Ponton 190 Db diesels in the UK.
