Description
This is my 1976 Honda CB550 Four. Much of it very original including the factory yellow marks on fixings and labels still in place. The frame is original paint as is all the chrome I believe.
It has a lovely sounding Delkevic 4 into 1 exhaust, which is stainless steel. The seat and cover are original too with a good base.
It starts on kick or electric, rides and stops well and has brand new Avon Road Rider tyres professionally fitted and balanced less than 2 years ago, which have covered 500 miles. Only used on dry days and stored in a garage under a cover.
The tank is clean inside, the rims and spokes are good and the clocks for a USA bike are big and clear. I had the speedo professionally rebuilt, and it is all working perfectly.
It benefits from electronic ignition and the headlight has been wired from always on to a on/ off switch. The indicator beepers (USA market addition) sound horrid and are currently unplugged, indicators work as normal. Can easily be plugged back in if desired.
Last year I had the carbs professionally ultrasonically cleaned, new main jet seals installed and rebalanced and it all runs exactly as it should, and I have a receipt for this work.
Recently fitted a brand new battery.
I have receipts for all work and new parts mentioned above, plus a stack of receipts from the previous owner.
V5C present in my name, and it comes with 2 keys.
It was a USA import in 2019, and it was MOT?d for its NOVA on entry to the UK at 18, 049 miles. The speedo was changed around 20, 000, I have the original, the replacement clock currently shows 10, 943, I would estimate the total milage to be circa 23, 000, unverified. Includes dating certificate from Honda Owners club from when they obtained the UK registration. Please note I have watermarked and redacted the document for security.
