I am selling my very rare original UK RHD 912 coupe finished in its original colour of Bahama Yellow.
Believed by experts to be the last RHD 912 to be sold in the UK - Invoiced in December 1968 and sold new by AFN London on February 5th 1970, with factory options listed as a set of alloy wheels and a loud speaker for the radio. Known to be 1 of less than 30 UK RHD cars known today.
According to 912 specialist Revival Cars - this is one of the best unrestored UK cars that they?ve come across. Runs and drives well, though mechanically unrestored. The vehicle benefits from a fresh repaint in 'Bahama Yellow' and good, original interior trim.
Interestingly, the history file includes early correspondence from Porsche Club GB noting its rarity factor way back in 1979!
The car was dry stored for many years and was bought and fully recommissioned by 912 Revival Car in 2014 costing thousands. All invoiced and letter from Revival confirming the history.
To be sold complete with original owners handbook, service booklet, COA, tax discs, letters from Porsche, AFN issued registration number and history folder dating back to 70's. Massive folder of history.
Bodywork inspection and repair was carried out removing small localised areas of bubbling paint (no panels}, All carried out professionally and photo's available of the work carried out. Furthermore, niggles such as window regulators, new horn grill, indicators, rear lights, heater fixed etc. Around £7k worth of works. No oil leaks.
Only 3 owners since 1984 and only 7 owners in total. Five speed with the original dogleg first.
Shows an indicated 86, 000 miles, which is believed to be correct and aligns with documents. The interior has the original Blaupunkt Toronto radio, although does have a cracked dashboard top (£320 to replace but wanted to keep it original).
Runs and drives as expected.
I was at Megaphonics this year with hundreds of aircooled Porsches and only saw 1 other RHD 912, this may also be the only one left in this beautiful colour too.
Reason for sale - I want to drive as many classics as possible.
