Description
A pristine, low mileage XJ6 with only 61, 500 miles. The 358 was considered to be the last of the real Jaguars and this one has been meticulously looked after. In the favoured combination of Liquid Silver with Champagne upholstery, the car is a stunning example of the luxury and craftsmanship that went into this car. The car was already in great condition when I bought it, however, in the last 12 months I have put on new Benbo brake discs and pads, had the callipers reconditioned and powder coated to match the car colour, refurbished the wheels including a full sized spare, all of which are immaculate. I’ve also just added 4 new Pirelli Zero tires. All the belts, including the cam belt have been changed using Jaguar origins parts. All invoices for this and much more are in the book pack. It has the acclaimed 2. 7d V6 engine which is smooth and powerful but still gives over 40mpg on the longer runs. The air suspension completes the driving experience which makes you feel like you are gliding on the straights yet the car is remarkably nimble on the bends. A great car in almost time warp condition and fully maintained. They really don’t make cars like this anymore. It is a delight to drive and still has the smell of expensive leather inside the cabin. The only issues are a headlamp washer that isn’t working and some sag in the headliner, The lines are traditional, elegant and get attention wherever I go. I bought this purely because I loved the look and intended to use it occasionally but it became my preferred car as it drives and feels better than any of the modern day models. I am selling it as I need to downsize and will not have a garage to keep it in. Both myself and the previous owner, who had it for 9 years, garaged the car.
