Meet Luci. Yes, I wonder how this car got the name Lucifer...!
Our stunning Daimler Double Six Vanden Plas, star of our YouTube channel. Truth be told, we'd love to keep this one. But space is a challenge with so many cars in the fleet here. Luci is 40 this year, which means no more MOTs, (though I'd recommend an inspection anyway), £0 road tax and this V12 Daimler will be ULEZ friendly!
We are the 3rd owners on the log book. It's had a service every year its been on the road. Most recently by Jaguar specialists Powerbell in Maidenhead. We have also done a number of jobs. Brand new bilstein front shocks, new front crossmember bushes, the steering wheel, k&n filters and of course the headlights. Which can be returned to standard for the buyer if required. A little on the model specifics...
From 1973, coachbuilders Vanden-Plas were appointed to finish-off the most up-market XJ model (Daimler only) with their higher quality trim, and the cars have always been a rarity- especially the ‘HE’ (higher efficiency) model which was only available for about a year. For the 1983 model ‘Series 3’ the quality standard of XJ improved dramatically including the Daimler, so the arrangement with Vanden-Plas officially ceased that year. However a handful of 1983 quality cars were still finished by Vanden-Plas and this is a very rare, if not unique survivor. Vanden Plas first aid kit in the boot too. It's a V12. Majestic, comfortable, long distance cruiser.
