After owning it for almost 30 years I am selling my Harley Davidson XL-1000 Sportster. (electric start)
It had work carried out by "Classic & Custom" in 1998, Harley World in 2001 & 2006 and lots of work carried out by a local bike mechanic in 2018. Just fitted a new battery and set up the clutch.
It starts and runs OK but will need the carb' and points adjusting.
It comes with a fly screen, Sissi bar, chrome battery cover and 2 indicators....(these items are not fitted)
It looks well and is in good all round condition for a ~ 50 year old classic.
If you need more details please ask. My 1974 XL-1000 Sportster (electric start) was purchased by me in Albany, New York in 1994, I shipped it over & registered it.
It was originally red (plum) and I altered to black.
When not in use it has been kept in my dry garage.
The mileage (18900) is believed to be genuine as I met the previous and only other owner in America.
I used it some time ago for a trip to Ireland but have only used occasionally since.
Have a few bills and old MOT certificates including its firsts from 23rd July 1994 showing 15667 miles.
