Description
1973 XL250. Motorsport version produced 1972 and 1973. UK bike registered Nov 1973. Fitted indicators, pillion seat and rear pegs which differentiates it from the US bikes. First owner lived in West London and exported the bike to Europe in early 90's. Bike was never registered abroad and came back to the UK in May 2019. Technically it was exported and imported and DVLA paperwork to show this. I brought the bike from the brother of the first owner who sold it in the UK on his behalf. Original condition throughout. Not restored. Nice tidy condition. In my ownership it has had; battery, front tyre, kickstart shaft, aftermarket kickstart ( original lever supplied it has different splines to replacement shaft ), new coil, plug, part carb rebuild. It has a Honda key and 2 others, Honda toolkit. Recent oil change, oil filter clean and new sump plug. All lights, horn, indicators and warning lights work. One fork seal is weeping. Tank flushed out , new petcock filter and new ethanol proof petrol line. New seals on tank filler and oil filler. V5C in my name marked as Historic. Shows correct XL frame number and SL engine numbers. Passed an MOT when it came back in to the UK. As said condition is original so paint marks, scratches etc. Recently ridden 60 miles to a my local Japanese bike club meet. This is a lovely original condition example of this iconic Honda bike. Rare UK bike in roadworthy condition and recently ridden on UK roads. It is reasonably priced to sell and will not disappoint.
