Very rare low mileage Aflfa Romeo Giulietta (Type 116) 2. 0. Offering for sale due to potential loss of storage facilities.
Purchased two years ago from a Private collector in Holland, where it had been for roughly 10 years. Prior to this, it was owned by a British ex- pat in Spain, who took it there sometime around 2009. Prior to this, it was in the UK on SORN from around 2003. Mileage at this time was around 44k, so it has only done 9000 miles in the last 20 years, of which I account for around 4K since Nov 2021.
The car is totally unmodified, and comes with alot of history. It needed some work to make it roadworthy on returning to UK, mainly limited to rubber items which had perished (clutch slave and master, propshaft donuts, carb mounts, gearbox mounts etc). The work was done by an Alfa Romeo specialist (Allitalia cars), and was waxoyled underneath. As far as I can see, it is totally rust / rot free.
Features include a number of things which were unusual in 1984, such as electric front windows, one electric door mirror, alloy wheels and central locking, all of which work faultlessly. The interior is in remarkable condition.
6 previous owners, MOT and tax exempt from October 2024. It has a fresh MOT as of 30/ 4/ 24, which runs until end of April 2025. This is the last MOT it will legally need.
The car is in use over the summer months, so mileage will increase slightly. It is always kept garaged, and I have been doing around 1500 miles per year, summer dry use only. Very few of these cars remain. I love going out in it, its a beautiful car to drive, and turns heads wherever it goes. It is very rare that someone does not comment on it, and always draws attention at the shows I've taken it to. The car was featued on "The Number 27" Youtube channel in July, it has over 50K views, and has many nice comments.
