I have decided to thin out my collection and so having looked at what hasn't been used, the first that is being listed is my 1996 Volvo 850 GLT Estate, 2. 5 petrol with the 5 speed manual gearbox.
It has just been for its first MOT since 2018 having been in storage, it has had all 4 tyres replaced having failed on one tyre but they were all of the same age so thought it better to have four new tyres, both front brake hoses replaced that were only advisories and the wipers sorted so now being sols with a new MOT until 24th October 2024.
It is finished in metallic Dark Olive Green with black half leather interior, Anthracite metallic alloy wheels, electric front windows, heated front seats, original Volvo radio cassette stereo.
First registered in April 1996 it shows two previous keepers, one of which I think was as a demonstrator before being bought by a gentleman from Haywards Heath in April 1997 from Hapstead Volvo main dealers at 9921 miles with the bill of sale, he then kept it for 8 years until November 2005 when another local chap from Burgess Hill purchased it and kept it for another 15 years but covered minimal mileage looking at the MOT history.
I bought it in December 2020 as it had been stored since its last MOT expired back in 2018. As it has not turned a wheel in the last 5 years i felt it was time for someone else to enjoy and actually drive the antique dealer express.
I have the Volvo service receipts from 1997 at 9838 miles, 13235 miles, 18083 miles, 21169 miles, 18083 miles, 21169 miles, 24830 miles, 28489 miles, 32532 miles and 40090 miles in 2005.
Tax discs from 1998 up to 2005 are also still in the original main dealer holder and the original Owners manual.
In very tidy order for a 27 year old Volvo but needs a couple of bits doing to make her look her best, namely the alloy wheels painting and there are stone chips and a flake of paint missing on the lower front bumper which can be seen in the photos so again would look better with a new coat of paint hence price.
It is a reluctant sale, but too many cars in my collection for the space I now have means she has to sadly go. Viewings welcome. Located in East Sussex
