Volvo 850R for sale (Portugal)
In 1996, Volvo launched the most powerful and sporty version of the 850, the R, equipped with a 5-cylinder Turbo (with a little help from Porsche) producing 250 hp. At the time, it was one of the most powerful family sedans in the world! It also competed in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with numerous victories.
The car shown here was purchased new from a Volvo dealership in Porto and has remained in its original condition to this day. Equipped with all safety and comfort features, it underwent a major overhaul the previous year, including replacement of the timing belt, water pump, accessory drive belt, engine oil, oil filter, cabin filter, antifreeze, air conditioning, repaired and painted wheels, etc.
