Produced in February 1949 the story of this Triumph Roadster is long and filled with lots of paperwork
Within the paperwork you will find an old style green logbook, this is stamped 1968, where it can be found in Peterborough
This is the first owner that we know about, it then moves up to Stoke-On-Trent in 2001 after a restoration
Whilst there it is looked after by Chris Shenton Engineering, the majority of these invoices can be found within the gallery

In 2016 the current owner picks up the car and set about writing the next chapter of this car's history
The current owner has fitted a reconditioned gearbox with overdrive fitted
A new high torque starter motor, an alternator conversion, some work to the distributor, and electronic ignition were also fitted by the current owner
It now starts, runs, and drives very well for a car that is over 70 years old
You will be amazed at just how comfortable this car is out on a driveAt first, you may think that this Roadster 2000 is just a two/ three seater top-down cruiser. However, if you open the boot section you will be met with two extra jump seat style seats. These rear passengers even have their windscreen that pops up. This just adds to the useability of this car and the charm as well, because where else could you find this type of quirkiness.
The dashboard of this Triumph is finished in a lovely wood, that just adds to the classic feel. This wood is presented today in lovely condition as well. It too has some patina on it with some small cracks, but these are what you expect from a natural material.
Set into the dashboard are two classic Jaeger dials. These all appear to show the correct information beautifully. The gauge on the right shows your oil pressure, water temperature, and your fuel level. With the gauge on the left being the speedo, once again providing your speed nicely and clearly.

Doesn?t this car just look the part? Its long bonnet with big chrome headlights make for a car that wouldn?t look out of place sitting outside a stately home. It is now your chance to have this beautiful looking car sit outside your house, or within your collection.
Starting with the paintwork we can see that it is in lovely condition, there may be one or two marks around that you will find if you look hard enough. But there doesn?t appear to be any paint bubbling that would indicate any corrosion underneath. The dark blue paint is then further enhanced by all of the glorious chrome that adorns almost every panel.
This chrome is presented in great condition all round. The wheel covers are highly polished and return a mirror like finish, so if you?re out and about without a travel mirror just use these covers instead. The front grille area is where you find a lot of chrome, the chrome bumpers, headlights, tall grille, and car club badges all make for one beautiful looking classic.
With the roof down the cabin is marvellous, it is filled with light and the smells that make classic motoring amazing. Should the English weather revert to form and catch you out slightly, all you need to do is lift up the roof and clip it into place. Within seconds you have transformed the interior into a more focused driving area.
Overall, this Triumph is in lovely condition, and it is now your opportunity to create many happy memories within the interior of this glorious classic.
