Remember those 90s shellsuits? You know, the Sergio Tacchini ones - perhaps blue and cream or maybe even teal and pink. Well, they also teamed up with Fiat to create a limited edition Panda and this is one of four left taxed on UK roads today.
I've taken this to shows, local meets, shops and even commuted in it. It is a brilliant car which turns heads, gets everyone talking and most importantly, makes you want to wear a shell suit again.
It's a 1990 1L Panda, notably a Sergio Tacchini edition by the mint interior, blue paintwork and exterior graphics. It was missing the boot badge when I acquired it but £80 later from a collector and it's proudly wearing that Italian sportswear name once again.
She drives great, five speed box and plenty of fun. Currently has a 4x4 style roof rack but this can just be unbolted if it's not your thing. I do have a full set of steel wheels to go with it too for that ultra 90s look but it currently has the ST edition ones on.
I've been on long journeys without any issue and the MOT is until March 2024.
There is some history - mainly receipts etc so I fully believe the mileage to be genuine but it is sold as seen. Full V5 present and a boot full of spares. The previous owner had done all the maintenance himself and this was abundantly clear from the huge stock of servicing parts he'd acquired in the underground garage I bought it from.
The paintwork could do with a respray but I personally prefer to jump into a classic and use it and drive it - it is almost 25 after all. By this, I mean there are some scratches to the interior doors where the door cards only cover the centre and there is wear to the driver's seat base. All the clocks and guages are working fine, full set of keys for doors, fuel tank, boot etc. Driver's door does not currently lock but only needs a new pin fitting behind the door card - as I store it inside, it hasn't bothered me in my ownership.
Great car, great fun and ready for all seasons. Remember those 90s shellsuits? You know, the Sergio Tacchini ones - perhaps blue and cream or maybe even teal and pink. Well, they also teamed up with Fiat to create a limited edition Panda and this is one of four left taxed on UK roads today.
