The Appeal
The Belvedere is amongst the most unique iterations of Fiat's legendary 'Little Mouse' - a steel-bodied three-door wagon topped with a black sliding soft-top, offering a rather unique Estate car to the lineup with real versatility at its heart. With the 500C in production for just five years from 1949, surviving Belvedere examples are seldom encountered on the open market.
Chassis '484731' was supplied new in its native Italy and reportedly saw limited use before entering a long period of layup. Discovered circa 2006 by a retired Italian enthusiast with fond memories of the model from trips around the Italian lakes, the Fiat was said to have been in very solid, complete, and original condition at the time. A restoration followed over the next two years, during which the car was completely stripped and every component is said to have received careful attention. Works included a professional chassis renovation, bodywork restoration, and repaint, all carried out to original specification.
Presented in the iconic two-tone grey livery with brown vinyl interior, this handsome little car has covered fewer than 2,500 km since the restoration was completed.
