I bought this lovely W 116 280 SE (1974) three years ago and have spent a considerable amount of time and money restoring the car.
The engine is in very good working order and the auto gear box is extremely responsive. The radiator has been re cored and the manifold has been replaced.
The interior is in good condition. The front seats have been re upholstered and the car has been fitted with new seat belts. The modern radio and side door speakers have been removed and the door panels restored. Window seals have been replaced and the car locks have been fixed.
There are a couple age related manifestations ( e. g. minor crack on the dash board and some blistering on the driver side passenger panel).
The car is driven regularly in dry weather and has been garage stored throughout my tenure.
