Originally from USA, imported in 2018 with previous US owner documents and original Yamaha sales booklets and brochures.
Comes with all import documentation and is registered as a Historic Vehicle, so no tax or MOT required.
Has a current MOT with no advisories to late 2024.
You won't find a more original SR: chain, sprockets, fuses, tool kit, sealed beam headlight as supplied from new, never been apart or messed with. Even still has factory paper stickers on wiring loom and under the saddle. The petrol tank is like brand new inside.
Some upgrades carried out; Dual oil feed pipe kit (an absolute must on these engines), larger front sprocket (by 1 tooth) for more relaxed cruising at motorway speed.
OEM battery was dry/ empty and has been replaced with a high-capacity AGM Motobatt.
Viton seals/ parts fitted to carb to cope with Ethanol.
Fresh spark plug, oil and filter, magnetic sump plug, new air filter.
Fresh brake fluid.
I have kept all the OEM fitted parts.
After standing for any amount of time, it will start with ease first kick, every time and is easy on the leg.
V5 is in my name.
Absolutely cracking bike to ride, as you would expect, like a brand new SR500!
