Yaldhurst Museum is proud to sell on behalf of a long term overseas storage owner this lovely example of the Holden VR Senator HSV 185i 4987cc V8.
This is a factory VR Senator #720 as in HSV build plate and dashboard plaque.
The Senator body kit was penned by designer Ian Callum to produce a sleeker, more aggressive stance along with a 185 kW (248 hp) version of the 5. 0-litre V8. A new suspension setup was developed, known as the touring package which aimed to provide capable handling and a smooth ride.
This car is a lovely original 1995 example, imported from Ausi to NZ some years ago.
The only modifications are a Sunroof and a slight tint to the side glass ( easily removed )
The current lady owner has owned it for several years and maintained it very well with GT Performance here in Christchurch (a Marque specialist) The Owner’s manual and receipts are all present.
The interior presents very well and is all original, the p/ s seat bolster shows signs of wear, and the seat cloth is a little loose in places which is common with these interiors. Overall, we would say the interior is in Very Good condition.
The Exterior Paint ( Kira Aqua ) to us looks mostly all original there are some small scratches and small areas of Clearcoat fade but overall the paint presents extremely well, we have not CUT the paint for photo's It’s as the original paint finish after 30+ years it’s a testament to the current and previous owners.
The engine runs sweetly the Odometer read 223k km and has been serviced not very long ago, the owner will get a new WOF on a sale agreement.
Small problems we know about are.
Wheel scuffing (worst N/ S front) see photo.
Aerial not working (The owner will get this fixed at WOF time)
Drivers Seat height adjust not working, the owner will also get this repaired, AC not blowing cold A new WOF will be issued if staying in NZ, or any independent inspections are welcome if going overseas.
There are not many of this model in NZ we believe about 25 or so.
