1983 CR 125 oem restoration.

I have owned this for around a year originally purchased as a non-runner.

The bike has undergone a complete Oem restoration and is now ready for its new owner to enjoy.

Frame and Swinging arm:
The frame has been completely stripped down checked for damage (common on the rails underneath, this has none..)
It has then been powdercoated professionally in the factory Honda RAL colour along with the subframe. New tapered headstock bearings have also been fitted.
The rear swinging arm and associated triple link have been totally stripped back down checked for cracks and damage and then vapour blasted.
All the bearings and bushes have then been re-fitted for new along with any bolt and fixing either Zinc plated or replaced if showing signs of damage and wear.
The chain adjuster bolt and nuts have been replaced for Oem along with the guide screws.
The foot pegs have been powdercoated satin black and the springs and washers stripped and zinc plated.
The seat has been professionally recovered by a local company for an Oem look original in the correct colour and lettering.
The Tank is original Honda but has been professionally restored to remove any imperfections and scratches and has also had the fuel filter / tap and fixings changed for genuine ones.
The front forks and associated mechanical parts have all been fully restored, the front triple clamps as per Oem factory have been powdercoated at the top and vapour blasted at the bottom and all the fittings the zinc plated and refitted.
The forks have been completely stripped and rebuilt using new seals and bushes to ensure an as new feel and finish.
The fork bottoms have been blasted and powdercoated and fork tubes also lightly polished. New fork covers have also been fitted.
The fork caps are Phil Denton engineering ones and are brand new as the originals were knackered and old.
The handle bars and controls have all been professionally restored, new bolts and screws have been used for the brake and clutch lever fixings along with a new cut off switch.
The clutch and brake lever cables have also been replaced for new to give the best feel possible when riding the bike.
New genuine brake and clutch levers have also been used for that OEM feel.
The handle bar is aftermarket but the grips are new genuine grips.
The front and rear wheels have been lightly restored and the original magnesium hubs have been retained but just inspected and repainted and new Oem bolts have been used on the front and rear brake adjusters as the old were beyond re-using.
The rear shock has been restored and the spring powdercoated Red and the mounting bolts also zinc plated. Technical solutions have serviced it and replaced anything that needed replacing with invoice to prove.
The cooling system has been stripped and inspected and the original rads recommissioned and ceramic coated. The hoses have also been inspected and checked and new clips used to ensure a proper seal. The original rad covers are also present and in perfect condition.
The water-pump and water-pump cover suffered from the dreaded corrosion issue so has been changed completely for a new cast cover and water pump and water pump seal and bearing.
The carb is the original but has undergone a full strip down and inspection and an ultrasonic bath and new seals and jets used. The throttle housing and tube was also stripped and inspected and a new throttle tube was sourced and new fixings for the housing used all genuine.
The exhaust is an FMF pro but the header is genuine and has been inspected and then ceramic coated for that Oem look.
Now down to the engine , the engine is perfect and has had all new gaskets where needed and compression is spot on. It starts first or second kick and sounds incredible.
The clutch has been inspected and is within tolerance and is really light on the hand.
The ignition system is also perfect and benefits from a brand new genuine CDI unit and coil.
Chain and sprockets are all new along with the chain rollers and associated swing arm protectors and guides for total peace of mind. The front sprocket is genuine Honda but the rear and chain are not.
All the fixtures and fittings have also been replaced for Genuine here too.
The nuts and bolts / fasteners on the bike have all been taken off inspected and either zinc plated or replaced for genuine Honda with invoices and pictures to back this up.

I have probably missed some bits out here , I have a folder of receipts and 1000?s of pictures documenting the whole build. This isn?t your usual ?. Quick restoration with some shiny new plastics this is a ground up proper Oem recommission with the emphasis on keeping it as original as possible.
Nova documents supplied and I also have a good selection of spares if need be.
