High quality restored Sprite Frogeye with history and photo album of the restoration. Owned by 1 Dutch owner for 24 years and excellently maintained all these years. Since 1999 in the Netherlands and body off restored for this owner's wife. As you might understand, the Sprite has been pampered, cherished and always slept inside under a cover.

During the restoration, the Sprite was newly painted in the original AH colour Old English White. The paint still looks very beautiful with a deep shine, which is a great compliment, after all, it is an older restoration. Of course, all the chrome was then replaced and the original steel rims were fitted with new AH chrome caps with (recently) new tyres. The oil has also been changed including filter, so in terms of maintenance everything is up to date. The Sprite has also been well maintained in recent years, and a fully reconditioned unleaded cylinder head has just been fitted. Performed at the best GB specialist in the Netherlands, of course the invoices are available.

As you might expect, the complete interior is also still in very clean condition. Everything was renewed at the time and a nice thick wooden steering wheel was fitted. The red upholstery and red hood perfectly match the creamy white paint. There is also a matching tonneau cover with the car. You can see from everything that the Sprite has been restored with care, while driving the car feels solid. The car exudes honest craftsmanship.

The reliable 948cc engine has been overhauled in the past and features heavy duty cooling with an electric fan. It is an improved version with a 3x bearing camshaft and a better oil seal. These legendary engines were built for decades and known from the iconic Mini and many more British cars. The engine starts on the button, has plenty of power and sounds great. The Sprite was once meant to be a handy lightweight sports car that you could maintain with little expense. And that still applies; driving it is FUN with capital letters, you have plenty of space and parts are easily available. And its looks get you a lot of sympathetic reactions.
