A rare Laguna Green Lux Touring Model. 5 speed Manual 316i. Current MOT till April 2024. Used a few times a week and recently completed a 700 mile round trip with no issues.
Garaged with car cover.
Priced to sell as downsizing house and collection.
Acquired from a friend early this year who drove it to work for a number of years.
Recent work done:
Work carried out by specialist Leicester BMW workshop.
New exhaust up to manifold.
New discs and pads all round including parking brake shoes.
New tappets, followers, cam belt and water pump. Invoice shown in pictures.
Tyres only a few years old with plenty of tread.
New boot gas struts.
Please note a few patches of surface rust, all included in the pictures. Also some laquer lost on the bonnet.
The engine is much quieter after the top end work but still a slight tappetty noise which is very common with these cars I?ve been told.
Starts well hot or cold. No water loss or oil consumption.
The engine cross brace gives excellent direct handling and is very sure footed.
Drivers seat is worn hence the added car seat cushion. The Laguna Green colour really is very special and I get so many comments at petrol stations etc. The BMW wheels are so original and totally suit this period of car.
I?ve been told it has a special BMW steering wheel which feels perfect to grip.
You?ll be delighted on how nippy, agile and nimble this car is. It?s so much fun to drive even with the light and revvy 1. 6i.
