Saab 95, 1972 7 seat estate. Great useable car on the road ready to go
MOT and Tax exempt
There are some big receipts and lots of history, the reconditioned engine has done less than 1000 miles, Weber carb, electronic ignition, new discs and refurbished calipers, new front shocks, stainless exhaust, it fires instantly and warms up quickly, the heater is ferocious. Having owned 70's VWs this is like a different world.
Everything works, dash lights, fuel and temperature gages, all lights, wipers.
Bad points: The shell has been welded and painted in the past leaving the engine bay lighter and the body slightly darker than the original GN07. The stainless exhaust weeps at a weld on the front silencer. Front screen rubber leaks a little, tailgate seal also leaks but a new seal included, slight whine in 2nd gear, someone has lined the boot recess with aluminium sheet but the boot floor is sound, I think the divider panel may need some TLC though, drivers door pull missing in the photos but a replacement is in the post.
It’s great fun and hilarious to drive with the column change and freewheel, the V4 engine is surprisingly lively and modern traffic isn't a problem.
Hopefully I've painted an honest picture of a useable, solid, slightly scruffy 95 that could likely be used daily without issue, or fettled into a fine example.
No swaps or trades please. payment would ideally be bank transfer but cash on collection would also work.
Located north east Scotland, 5 minutes from Keith railway station or I can recommend a good transporter. Will it drive to Cornwall from here? Probably but it's nearly 52 years old, I can't guarantee anything but it would be great fun trying!
Thanks for looking.
