Beschreibung
1972 Barracuda 340 V8 (manufactured in 1971) with factory matching numbers Chrysler engine and auto gearbox. Badged 'Cuda 340 on the bonnet. indicated 70, 000 miles which considering the cars mechanical originality and body condition is likely to be accurate.
In original Richard Petty blue exterior and correct black stripe, with a black vinyl interior. Low original miles, sports steel Rally wheels as original, very original body, fender tag, dash tag, door sticker etc still in place confirming the above. Woodgrain centre console and matching woodgrain rally 4 clock dash. Original 4 barrel Carter thermoquad carburetor. It has an 8 3/ 4 rear axle.
See attached photo of the fender tag decode - the car is accurate from the stripes down to the dual sports racing mirrors.
Paint is smart and shiny with the odd imperfection, seats are good, and carpets are clean but a new set is included. Fitted with new Barracuda over mats. Headliner is together but ideally needs replacing, a new one is included. Trunk is clean with a new liner, trunk floor has the only bit of corrosion on the whole car, and its minimal.
Sill flanges etc are mint. The whole underbody is dry and solid with exceptionally clean flanges, not a spotweld out of place. Needs a good coat of protectant (so you can see everything) but is in exceptional original condition.
The car drives well, the original 340 engine,, which has just been serviced, sounds surprisingly sporty through the dual exhaust, 4 tailpipe exhaust, which is what is said about them!
