This is a good, solid and honest car that wouldn’t be difficult to make improvements to bring it up to a better standard.
The aesthetics of this Mach 1 speak for themselves, it is a remarkable-looking car - aggressive, sporty and loaded with character. If the Mustang looked good, this looks utterly fantastic. Everything here is in good, solid order with only some minor interior cosmetic improvements needed - which does nothing to detract from its overall presentation.
With ample black plastic trims, plenty of branding, its unique honeycomb grilles and that sweeping profile, this is a car that lives and breathes speed at first glance - and we’ve no doubt it’ll turn plenty of heads on the road.
Popping open the bonnet reveals the 351 Cleveland V8, presented in excellent condition with plenty of lovely, clean metal.
With no reports of leaks, knocks, bangs or smoke, the car is working exactly as you’d expect - and with that meaty V8 packed into its prodigiously trimmed hood, it is quite the treat to drive.
These cars aren’t a common sight on the market, and in our opinion, this is the best colour scheme they came in.
Whether it’s to push the pedal to the metal and see how fast it can go, or strictly as a jewel in the crown of your collection, you’d be hard pressed to find a more honest example Mach 1 than this one.
I am sure the new owner will not be disappointed with their purchase.

Car is located in East Kilbride, Scotland. Model History
First hitting the market in 1969, the Mustang Mach 1 was part of Ford’s continuing interests to push the limits of the iconic pony car. The Mustang had been launched to great fanfare in 1964, and as Chevrolet and Pontiac continued to pump out their muscle cars, the Mustang platform seemed the perfect fit to fight them off and capitalise on an existing reputation.
It was a huge success - the resultant car was so packed full of grunt that GT wasn’t sufficient to describe it. As a result, they called it the Mach 1.
