This 1977 Fiat 128 1100 CL is truly in exceptional condition, original and never restored. With a total mileage of just 81500 km and a single, conscientious owner for over 45 years, this car is truly a 'time machine', preserved in as good a condition as a new car, original throughout, inside and out, mechanically, with a structure and bodywork absolutely immune to rust. It obviously runs flawlessly, ready to safely tackle any journey. Its history is interesting: after being displayed on Fiat stands at trade fairs, exhibitions and motor shows all over Europe (Amsterdam, Geneva, Frankfurt) in 1977, this car was sold to a Fiat employee at the press car garage and registered in Turin on 28 September of that year. As was customary at the time for many employees of the Turin company, the car was resold after just six months to buy another new Fiat and was bought by a railway employee who used it with almost maniacal care until 2004, storing it in a dry, heated garage. After his death, I bought the car from his heirs and it was enough to replace the engine oil, filters, battery and timing belt to get this wonderful car running again, undamaged inside and out. With the car comes the original registration certificate (the number plate is also that of first registration), instruction booklet, jack lift and original tool bag. The roadworthiness check is valid for the next two years, the documentation is in order for it to be sold or exported, and the car can be driven safely to any destination. The 128 is located in Trana (postcode 10090), around 30 km from Turin, and can be viewed, tested and collected here after the sale. It is also possible to ship the car anywhere in the world, to Europe at a very reasonable price by multiple transporter truck. I bought this beautiful car together with a small collection of other classic cars. What impressed me was its pristine condition, practically that of a new car, a leap back to 1977. The car runs impeccably, all the mechanics are in excellent health. To use this 128 really means getting behind the wheel of a 'time machine', it gives you the feeling of the good old days. The previous owner hardly ever used it during the week, preferably on holidays, and the seats are immaculate as they were always protected by seat covers. And anyway, the use of the car has always been very careful, as has the attention to maintenance and storage in a dry, heated garage. Among my favourite things about this car are its fantastic condition and history. In fact, it is an example of a 128 that Fiat decided to use for testing by journalists and at international exhibitions in 1977. Since it was a car destined for the press and to be shown in the spotlight, this 128 was enlisted after scrupulous checks and, above all, has the specifications of cars destined for northern European markets, with better rustproofing and soundproofing treatments.
