Description

Thank you for looking at my advert for this 1999 Suzuki GSF 600 Bandit with only 8500K genuine miles from new.

As you can see it is in really excellent clean condition which the pictures don't do justice to, the paint work has some very minor marks and the only non standard parts are the silencer, the chain guard and the tail tidy, which seems to be a very common mod on Bandits as is the fact that the rear suspension has been "jacked up" a bit.

Again, this seems to be common, giving it quicker steering and a more agressive profile (i am told), but the down side is it may not suit all riders, i am 5'10" with a 29" inside leg, i can sit on it with the balls of both feet on the ground, there is loads of info on the web about how to adjust this, but i don't want anyone buying it and finding it doesn't suit them.

I have purchased a 25mm lowering kit which the ebay seller says will lower the seat height by about 2 inches but I cannot guarantee this, fitting and suspension adjustment is a matter for buyer.

So, I bought this bike last summer as a non runner because I wanted something smaller and lighter, it had been laid up from July 2007 according to the DVLA MOT database and the carbs were totally blocked amongst some other minor stuff such as poorly fitting panels etc.

Since I got it I have had the carbs fully cleaned, stripped and rebuilt by an engineer friend and properly balanced by myself, it now starts and runs nicely, but I've only done some short runs locally to check the brakes etc.

It's got a brand new battery with a two year warranty, I changed the rear brake fluid, bled the brake and replaced the useless diaphragm fuel tap with a conventional on/ off/ reserve one.

All the other fluids and filters were changed by the previous owner before he gave up due to the carb issues, the tank is full with fresh V Power and stabiliser.

It has two new Battlax tyres, the only thing I haven't done is change the chain and sprockets which would improve the appearance of the rear end quite a bit, you can also get stainless chain adjusters which would be a good idea to fit at the same time.

I also spent about £30 on various genuine suzuki bolts/ washers/ panel pins and bushes which sorted out all the fitting issues and the bodywork is nice and tight now.

Including purchase, delivery and parts, this bike owes me around £1800, which is what I'm asking for it and I dont think that's unreasonable for such a tidy example.

The reason I am selling is I've decided to buy something new as during the past few months of tinkering I realised kneeling on hard floors and trying to see small bits of machinery in poor light just doesnt appeal any more so this one has to go to make room.

I've taken some videos which i can send as too large to put on here, I am an honest seller and a long term member (30+ years) of the Z1 and VJMC owners clubs.

The V5 and spare key are in my possession, the pristine owners hand book, a Haynes workshop manual, toolkit and touch up paint are also included and it's been datatagged.

Collection is your responsibility, I'm on the main motorway network around 5 hours from the midlands and i can recommend an excellent courier who i have used myself on several occasions.

The important bit, a £100 non refundable deposit is required and the balance must be paid by bank transfer before the bike leaves here, please do not proceed if you are unhappy with these conditions. .

There's probably loads more I could mention, feel free to ask any questions, please check my feedback. this is an early Bandit, in surprisingly unmolested and excellent condition with extremely low mileage, requires very little work to make it mint and has full years MOT
