This Austin Mini Van, built in 1977 and sold new in the Netherlands in 1978, has only had 3 owners...
Registration French CT Français 12-08-2022: 73087 km The various RDW reports (Dutch technical control) give: 11-03-2020: 72. 256 km 06-04-2018: 72. 129 km 04-06-2016: 63. 300 km Exterior & Bodywork : Completely restored (body-off) in 2015 by the Dutch Craftsmen of 7Heaven Classics.
The bodywork received numerous original panels (front panel, doors, side panels, floorboards and even an original roof hatch was installed, etc...) without forgetting Sandblasting, Priming, Epoxy and the passage to the Oven... Which explains why today the Mini Van is still in impeccable condition... An anti-gravel was then applied under the Van and in the wheel arches... The whole Mini Van was professionally restored.
After restoration of the bodywork, the Mini Van was reassembled with many new original parts, including Lucas headlights, glass indicators, door hinges, original bumpers, etc. The windows are original with new mechanisms and seals. The interior is completely new from Newton Commercial.
The cargo area is in superb condition and the side panels are without a single dent inside or out... Engine & Technology: Originally delivered with a 998 cm3, the 2nd owner replaced it with a 1275 cm3 A+ for improved driving pleasure.
In 2015 during the restoration, the entire engine block was also overhauled, the SPI 1275 engine was bored to 1310 (+0. 040) and fitted with less modern parts to give it a more authentic look. The injection system on the engine was removed in favour of a traditional HIF44 carburettor... The few parts replaced: Electric fuel pump, Millenium LCB exhaust manifold, Manifold exhaust system, Lucas Sports coil, Lucas 64D electronic igniter, silicone hoses, NGK. R spark plugs, 11-blade fan, etc... Mini A+ Rod-Shift 4-synchro gearbox - final gear ratio 3. 44:1 The clutch has been replaced with a 190mm Verto clutch.
All copper pipes are new. Brakes: Mini Cooper S 7. 5-inch front disc with 2-piston calipers fitted with brake servo and Goodridge hose, new Mintex jaws at rear. Aluminium fuel tank is new, including float etc. Suspension cones have been replaced and new adjustable gas shocks fitted.
The front upper & lower wishbones are new with adjustable tie rods. Wheels & Tyres: The Mini Van is fitted with Dunlop Formula 70 165/ 70 X 10 radial tyres mounted on John Brown Wheels 4. 5 X 10 inch Old White English aluminium rims... Since the restoration was completed, the Van has been driven just over 10, 000 km and now has a total of 73, 400 km. The Van was also photographed by renowned journalist Rob Hawkins for Mini World magazine, in which it was given a front page spread and a detailed article, which appeared in the August 2017 edition.

With great attention to detail and care, the 2nd owner has spared no expense (+€35, 000 in invoices are available) to create one of the most beautiful Austin Mini Van, and from our point of view it has been a success!
