Up for sale is my stunning looking Jaguar, one of only 1855 XJ12C ever made. Still in it's original colour, signal red and has it's original engine. This is one of the first XJ12C with the fuel injection system with body number 16 of the RHD cars.
Manufactured in February 1975 and first registered in Leeds later that year.
It was exported to Sweden in the early 80's and was used as a company car and has two owners before me in Sweden.
I bought it 3 years ago after it been sitting in a garage for 20 years. It has been quite a journey to get it roadworthy and has a lot of time and money spent on it.
One of the biggest task was to restore the brakes all round and handbrake mechanism which included dropping the rear suspension.
It passed it's MOT a couple of weeks ago without any notifications, it now has a life long MOT here in Sweden.
The car runns super smooth and pulls really strong. The gearbox changes gears as it should without any noises.
The interior is all original and in a very good condition. Although I just installed a new headlining in the correct material.
Note that the speedometer is in km and has been changed at some point, therefore the mileage is impossible to guarantee. I have been restoring Jaguars from the 70's for 15 years and my expertees tell me that this is a low mileage car, but exactly how low is hard to tell.
The body is far from perfect and has a couple of spots of rust but nothing major. One thing that I want to mention is that the floor on the driver side will need some attention in the future. But for now, the car just want to be driven although it is not in perfect condition.
The paint is a bit faded but the vinyl roof is perfect. Also the chrome bumpers are in pretty bad shape, straight but with pitting chrome. But please note that these negative things is reflected in the price.
The car is located in Stockholm, Sweden. I have made contact to a company here in Sweden that will be able to help me and the next potential owner to export it to the UK, the price for the export and transport to the UK is about €2, 600.
