2008 Mercedes Benz GL 420 CDI 5dr 7str Auto Very Low Mileage

Mercedes-Benz GL Class 4. 0 GL420 CDI 5dr 7str with Exceptionally Low Genuine Mileage of just 47K from new.

Here is my stunning looking de badged Mercedes GL420 CDI 4-Matic 4x4 in Obsidian Black with Alpaca Grey Napa leather and 20" 5 spoke alloy wheels.

Exceptionally low genuine mileage of 47K for the year and in exceedingly fine condition throughout, always very well cared for and fully maintained with no expense spared, in my ownership since 2016.

Massive list of extras including; Mercedes Benz rear entertainment screens, electric tailgate, glass sunroof, leather steering wheel, linguatronic, memory package, windscreen wiper with rain sensor, multi contour front seats, Airmatic package, electrically folding exterior mirrors, Command APS with DVD navigation system, telephone pre wire, Bi xenon headlamps, intelligent air conditioning, cornering light function, Harmon Kardon logic 7 surround sound system, electric folding rear seats, heated rear seats, plus just about every factory option available at that time.

Professionally reconditioned alloy wheels and good quality tyres with plenty of tread.

New discs and pads fitted all round.

For my ownership I also had a genuine detachable tow bar shipped from Germany and fitted by a specialist, although I have rarely towed our family caravan, she does tow absolutely beautifully.

All manufacturer recalls have been completed including brake servo replacement and full health check by our local Mercedes dealer in January of this year.

She was unfortunately subject of an insurance claim (Cat S) in 2019, due to a scrape down the driver's side done by the driver of an oncoming vehicle overtaking parked cars, who thought he had more room to get past than he actually did, even though I had pulled over and stopped :-(

The damage was limited to a very light scrape on the front wing and both offside doors suffered damaged, unfortunately the doors themselves, despite being removable, are considered by the insurance company to be structural elements hence the Cat S designation imposed. However in my opinion the Cat S given to this vehicle is unwarranted as it is nothing like the same as it would be for a vehicle which has had a bad front or rear smash, requiring the safety cell or chassis components to be replaced or straightened.

This incident resulted in replacement of the front right hand wing and both offside doors, all of which was professionally carried out by a local body shop specialist and done to an extremely high standard.

Full MOT until Jan 2025 she remains my daily driver, so the mileage may continue to increase a little.
