1962 Mercedes 220 W111 220 S

This is a cream Mercedes 220 SEB coupe 1962.
I purchased this car from Ferrari brothers outside Milan in April 2003 and I had it shipped to Ireland and put on Irish plates and it remains with Irish plates today.
I emigrated to Denmark in 2015 and had it shipped here where it resides now.
It is in beautiful condition and drives perfectly. I have only driven it to local classic shows.
It has been kept in a heated garage throughout its lifetime, so there is no body rust.
I have had to do very little with it in 21 years. I replaced the leather on the front seats with the exact leather purchased from Germany and the original pattern maintained. I also put original seat belts in it which I believe were optional in 1962 .
The body work is very very good and I am told the paint work is original, its floor speed manual which I am told are very rare.
The wood trim is slightly faded on the dash board but still looks beautiful and it has been classed as condition 2.
It attracts a lot of attention when you drive it to the bakers in the morning, people always ask where can you find a car like that or look how beautiful the chrome is and there is lots of chrome and a beautiful white ivory steering wheel.
The original Becker radio has been upgraded with Bluetooth so you can play your music and answer you phone and the electric aerial is also original. The original speakers work well.
The car has the original paint from 1962, cream coloured DB439.
It was accepted into the Autumotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) in 1995 and has its beautiful brass plate in the back window which also attracts attention.
Driving this car on a nice summers day, as its a pillar-less coupe, is just a great place to be and its a fantastic feeling .
I have the original papers from 1962 and other relevant paperwork .
Because of its originality, I believe that this car is a collector’s item.
