1993 TVR Chimaera

Due to relocating for a new job I'm sadly having to sell my 1993 Chimaera 400 (Think this is a fair price as I've spent close to £5k in my ownership which should give new owner piece of mind - private plate included). I don't really want to see it go.. been a fantastic car and had a lot of money spent on it by previous owners (10) and me recently. Some of the key bits I will mention here & will be as honest as I can :

Full Service History dating back to 1993. 2k miles driven in the last year - 12ks and 6ks services at Str8six (under my ownership), Top Cats Racing 2020 £5. 5k, Neil Carner 2017 £1. 5k to name a few recently.

12k Service July 2023 at Str8six (Thame) £3, 600 - Brake master cylinder, Brake servo, 3 diff mounting bushes, exhaust manifold gaskets, upper wishbone bushes, gearbox mounts, fuel pipes, throttle cable, brake pads all round

Str8six December 2023 £800 - New passenger door membrane made to stop some water ingress through door card. Soldered new wires and replaced fuse for intermittent wiper speed. New one-way valve for screenwash pipe. Did have aftermarket alarm fitted at Top Cats Racing - but removed due to causing some battery drain (didn't need alarm as its stored in a locked garage). Simple to fit an aftermarket one if you desire.

Mk2 rear light conversion ( pretty rare to see earlier Chims with the conversion)

Full respray and new roof materials to match colour change (car was originally Ash green, now is GTS Viper Blue). Not many stone chips which usually plague the front on Chims

Electronic Graduated Power Steering (manually adjustable via a dial or linked to wheel speed sensor)

Outriggers done in 2015 at Bespoke performance (now under Hilton & Moss). Body off and costing £2k

Newer aluminum radiator

Smaller aftermarket personal steering wheel with BC racing spacer. (Works well if the PAS in my opinion)

Pioneer stereo system and speakers - nice phone stand with USB and Bluetooth which doesn't drain the battery when turned off

Bits that I planned to do before new job came around/ general negatives;

Currently the exhaust is half sleeved. Previous owner put on a second hand system. Its quite common for them to start whisitling if the baffles are removed which is what is starting to happen now. There is a stock system for £200 waiting to be put on this Spring/ Summer at Str8six in Thame (feel free to give them a call to confirm). I think it sounds perfect if it wasn't for the whistle now ( happy to send some videos across).

1st gear synchro is slightly warn. Noticable when cold if you aggressively shove it in first on the move. Not really a problem for me, and if you drive with sympothy as you should anyway!

Driver seat is quite worn (I've attached pictures).

Tyres have a lot of life left - but profile is too high. Fitted by a previous owner (I'm not sure why? Maybe right ones were out of stock). I never got round to changing them - but would be something I would do with the exhaust replacement

If interested in test drive/ viewing will have to be a weekend at the moment. I can also send over reciepts and invoices (huge folder) if required.
