1995 Volvo 960 Estate which runs very well and would be an ideal modern classic daily driver! This is the first year the new sleeker facelifted version of the 900 series became available.
The 3L 24v straight 6 engine runs fantastic and starts every time and the 4 speed automatic gearbox works exactly as it should. The car is mechanically sound and all electrics work too including the electric sunroof. It has remote central locking and the optional dog guard behind the rear seats which can be removed if need be. The original radio also works and I will include the radio code as well as a casette adapter so you can plug in your phone and play music in the car from there.
I have only driven the car around 2000 miles, and in that time I have changed all fluids including gearbox fluid and rear diff oil, fully protected the underside with a good layer of underseal although there was no rust to begin with, and fixed small oil leak from the top end of the engine, now leaks absolutely no fluids.
Lesser points about the car are all cosmetic but justify the low price, the clearcoat on the top of the bonnet and roof is lifting off in large spots and I can't figure out why, but it hasn't got worse since I've bought it. However, it would require a respraying of clearcoat if you wanted to fix it. There is also a crack in the lower nearside corner of the windscreen although this can hardly be seen from the inside of the car and does not cause any water ingress. Finally a really minor one, a small bit of stitching on the bottom of the drivers seat has come loose although this would be an easy fix.
